U.2 PCIe SSDs
AMP U.2 PCIe SSDs support demanding workloads including high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, high-frequency trading, gaming, enterprise servers and storage infrastructure. Select PCIe Gen4 x4 and NVMe 1.4 configurations deliver throughput up to 7 GB/s and sustained performance up to 1.6 million IOPS.
Selected U.2 series combine enterprise firmware, reliable controllers and 3D TLC NAND with capacities up to 15.36TB in a 2.5-inch form factor. Data-protection capabilities can include T10 Protection Information and enterprise power-loss protection to help protect data during normal operation and unexpected power interruption.
Available configuration options can include performance-tuned firmware, over-provisioning for endurance, and thermal or mechanical enhancements for application-specific requirements.

U.3 PCIe Enterprise SSDs
AMP U.3 enterprise SSDs combine PCIe Gen4 performance, NVMe 1.4 compatibility and 3D TLC NAND in a high-capacity 2.5-inch form factor. Capacities up to 30.72TB can increase storage density while reducing the number of drives and servers required for demanding deployments.
Designed for I/O-intensive environments, U.3 SSDs support cloud computing, big-data infrastructure, artificial intelligence and enterprise server applications.

What is the difference between U.2 and U.3?
Both use a serviceable 2.5-inch enterprise form factor. U.3 is designed around the SFF-TA-1001 specification and supports a tri-mode backplane architecture when the host platform is properly configured. Always confirm connector, backplane and host compatibility before selection.
Are industrial-temperature options available?
Commercial- and industrial-temperature options are available within AMP’s U.2 portfolio, depending on the product series and capacity. The AMP3U specifications shown on this page list a commercial temperature grade.
Can AMP support custom endurance or firmware requirements?
Select U.2 configurations can support performance-tuned firmware, over-provisioning, endurance options and thermal or mechanical enhancements. Availability depends on the controller, NAND, capacity and project requirements.
