This webpage provides a summary of AMP’s standard warranty and RMA program. For complete terms, exclusions, procedures, and legal conditions, please access the official Corporate Warranty, Return Material Authorization (RMA) & Customer Support Policy, Document No. AMP-CS-1001, Rev. B through the AMP Customer Portal.
Warranty Overview
AMP warrants that its products are manufactured in accordance with established quality standards and are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and operation within the published product specifications during the applicable warranty period.
If AMP Engineering confirms that a product failed because of a covered defect, AMP may provide repair, replacement, credit where applicable, or another mutually agreed resolution. Warranty eligibility and the appropriate resolution are determined by AMP based on engineering evaluation.

Data Security and Packaging
Protect Your Data
Before returning a product, customers should back up all data and, whenever practical, remove or securely erase confidential or sensitive information. Returned products may undergo testing, firmware updates, secure erase, or media analysis that can permanently erase or modify stored data. AMP does not provide data backup or recovery services.
Package Products Properly
Returned products must be packaged in ESD-protective materials with adequate cushioning. Connectors, edge fingers, pins, sockets, and exposed contacts must be protected from damage and contamination. The assigned RMA number should be clearly displayed on the shipping carton.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I request an RMA?
Contact your AMP Sales Representative or AMP Technical Support. AMP will review the issue and provide an RMA number and return instructions when a product return is necessary.
How long is the warranty?
DRAM memory modules generally carry up to a five-year limited warranty. NAND Flash storage products generally carry a three- to five-year limited warranty, depending on the product and applicable agreement.
Does reaching the endurance limit affect warranty coverage?
Yes. For applicable NAND Flash products, warranty coverage ends when the published TBW, DWPD, P/E cycle, or other endurance limit is reached, even if the time-based warranty period has not expired.
What happens after AMP receives the product?
AMP performs identification, inspection, functional verification, diagnostic review, and additional engineering analysis as appropriate. AMP may issue a Failure Analysis report or technical summary when applicable.
What is No Trouble Found (NTF)?
NTF means the returned product operated within published specifications and the reported issue could not be reproduced under controlled test conditions. AMP may request additional system, log, workload, or reproduction information.
