Description
AMP Inc.’s E3.S SSD offers sequential performance up to 14,800 MB/s read and 8,700 MB/s write, with random 4K performance up to 3,300,000 read IOPS and 900,000 write IOPS. Performance varies by capacity.
The E3.S SSD combines 3D TLC NAND flash and DDR4 DRAM with a PCIe Gen5 interface. Single-port drives use all four lanes to one host; dual-port drives split them into two x2 ports so two hosts or controllers can reach the same drive for failover. It uses NVMe 2.0 in the EDSFF E3.S form factor (SNIA SFF-TA-1008/1009) and is backward compatible with PCIe Gen4 and earlier slots. Capacities run from 1.6TB to 15.36TB: read-intensive drives (1 DWPD) in 1.92TB, 3.84TB, 7.68TB and 15.36TB, and mixed-use drives (3 DWPD) in 1.6TB, 3.2TB, 6.4TB and 12.8TB. Endurance is fixed by capacity and rated over 5 years.
All configurations operate from 0°C to 70°C with the airflow specified for E3.S slots.
